Ariel's natural hair color is *gasp* blonde?!

So when Disney was first drafting Ariel they obviously considered different hair colors.  But did you know that their final decision was to make her blonde? As if! I read online that they changed it to red at the last minute. We're so used to Ariel as a redhead, but look what Ariel could have looked like:  

Which one is your favorite? We think she's cute with the black hair, but Ariel as a redhead is still our favorite (duh).
